Develop with Us
As a social companion, you support a young person or adult with a disability in social activities. This could include, for example, joining them on a walk, visiting a swimming pool or gym, or participating in cultural activities such as museums or cinema.
Your Assignment
As a companion, you help the individual participate in community life outside their own home and facilitate contact with other people. This could involve participating in various leisure activities, meeting friends, or simply taking a walk.
The service is 8 hours per month, and you will agree with the service user on how the hours will be distributed. Note that the hours may increase in the future and the employment is valid for as long as the assignment is ongoing.
What We're Looking For in You
We are looking for someone who speaks Romanian fluently and who can carry out the assignment during afternoon hours.
You are passionate about working with people, are considerate, and driven by strong commitment to help others. You recognize other people's needs, take initiative, and know how to motivate and support a person with a disability.
No special education is required to become a companion, but we would appreciate if you have some prior experience working with people with various disabilities covered by the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).
