In a democratic society, we need organizations that give young people the opportunity to meet, develop, and influence their daily lives. The Youth Center in Säffle is such an organization.
We are now seeking a manager who wants to take responsibility for developing and running an open youth organization that contributes to inclusion, participation, and social sustainability.
About the Organization
The Youth Center is Säffle Municipality's open youth organization. The organization is based on voluntary participation and is a meeting place for young people with different backgrounds, experiences, and interests.
The organization aims to:
promote inclusion and participation offer meaningful leisure activities create a safe and accessible environment provide support and guidance to young people strengthen young people's rights and opportunities for influence
The organization also includes safety-creating fieldwork and collaboration with schools, social services, police, associations, and other relevant actors.
The Assignment
As manager of the Youth Center, you have overall responsibility for the organization, personnel, budget, work environment, and results.
You lead and develop the organization together with employees and ensure that it is conducted in accordance with established goals, applicable governing documents, and the municipality's overall direction.
The assignment includes:
Develop and ensure quality in the organization lead and support employees in daily work. Develop collaboration with internal and external actors take responsibility for safety-creating work. Contribute to the department's joint development efforts.
Evening and weekend shifts may occur.
You are part of the Culture Department's management group and contribute there to the strategic development of the department's combined operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
Relevant higher education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience in management or leadership roles with responsibility for personnel, finances, and work environment. Experience in organizational development good collaboration skills and experience working together with other actors, as well as good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have experience working in youth organizations, cultural organizations, or other public organizations.

You are a confident and clear leader who creates engagement and participation. You have the ability to build trusting relationships and lead through a present and trust-based leadership style.
You are development-oriented and have the ability to see the organization's long-term needs in relation to social changes and young people's living conditions.
