The Lead Planner Role
As a Lead Planner, you lead and quality-assure the project's planning process. You are responsible for establishing, developing, monitoring, and using schedules as an active management tool throughout the project's phases. This role involves close collaboration with other key functions within the project.
Your responsibilities include:
- Hold primary responsibility for project scheduling and schedule tracking, including progress, forecasts, and deviation management
- Lead, coordinate, and quality-assure the project's scheduling work in collaboration with project schedulers and other key functions
- Ensure schedules are established and structured according to the project's common working methods, WBS, and NCC's processes
- Analyze relationships between time, production, procurement, design, economics, and contractual obligations
- Identify, analyze, and report time-related risks, opportunities, and consequences for project execution
- Develop clear decision-making and forecast documentation for project management, steering committee, and customer in collaborative projects
- Support development of working methods, tools, and methodologies in planning, for example through critical path analysis, alternative scenarios, and progress tracking
- Support project management with questions related to contract schedules, change management, and time-related commercial matters.
Your Profile as Lead Planner
We are seeking someone with experience leading and driving planning work in complex environments, preferably on large construction and/or infrastructure projects. You understand how the schedule impacts the project's economics, resource planning, procurement, design, and production.
You have strong analytical skills and can translate detailed information into well-founded decisions that support the organization's overall objectives. At the same time, you have the ability to see the big picture, identify relationships, and anticipate consequences of different choices.
You have a good understanding of production flows and thrive in a role where you can create structure, coordinate different stakeholders, and help the project stay on course throughout execution.
You have excellent communication skills and can engage others in planning work, create alignment between different functions, and convey complex information clearly and pedagogically.
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience with Primavera P6 is a merit.

Additional Information
This is a permanent full-time position. The work location is flexible based on project conditions. The position requires willingness to travel on business. For this position, we conduct background checks in accordance with NCC's security culture. The division may work on security-classified projects, in which case security vetting may be conducted.
