We are now looking for a Lead Engineer for our HVDC team in Ludvika.

In this role, you will take technical leadership responsibility in upgrade projects for HVDC facilities.
You will work at the system level with control and protection systems and serve as a technical reference in our most complex deliveries.
This is a role for someone who understands HVDC deeply and wants to use your experience to develop and drive solutions, support projects, and guide others. The role has a clear technical focus, with no people management responsibilities.
How You Will Make a Difference
Technical responsibility for system solutions in HVDC upgrade projects
Lead and review design of control and protection systems
Support both projects and site with complex technical questions
Participate in system testing and Factory System Tests (FST)
Work with changes, lifecycle management, and modernization
Provide technical guidance and mentoring within the team
Participate in customer meetings, technical negotiations, and supplier meetings
Coordinate interfaces internally and externally
Your Background
Extensive and deep experience with HVDC facilities in projects and on-site
Deep knowledge of control and protection systems or system integration
Experience in design, verification, and commissioning
Both the ability and willingness to take technical responsibility for complex deliveries
Comfortable in technical dialogue in both Swedish and English
Education in electrical engineering
Meritorious
Several years of experience as a Lead Engineer within HVDC facilities
Experience with Hitachi/ABB control and protection systems
Experience from service and upgrade projects within HVDC
Experience with graphical programming environments (e.g., HiDraw)
Experience in technical leadership roles in delivery projects
