Skogsbö School is a preschool through grade 6 school with approximately 425 students. The school is located just outside central Avesta. At the school, we actively work to create good conditions for learning by offering a safe learning environment and high-quality instruction, both in school and at our after-school program. We are a partner school with Högskolan Dalarna, which means we host teacher students each term. This contributes to our scientific foundation and the development of our operations. All instruction at the school shall be guided by our three core values: learning, safety, and together – to give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their individual circumstances. 2 position(s). Description of Duties We are seeking teacher substitutes who can teach classes when regular teachers are absent. As a teacher substitute, you are responsible for conducting instruction in preschool through grade 6. During periods of extended absence by regular teachers, certain responsibilities may include planning and follow-up of instruction individually and in collaboration with colleagues in your team. You are responsible for cooperating with colleagues, students, guardians, and other relevant parties to create a safe and developmental environment for students. You are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Other duties that may occur: • Recess supervision • Pedagogical lunch duties Qualifications We are looking for a confident adult with strong leadership abilities. You must have teacher training and good pedagogical insight. As a teacher substitute, you need to have good ability to express yourself in Swedish in writing and speech. You need to be skilled at building relationships and have good collaboration abilities. It is advantageous if you have experience with instruction and working in teams, as well as knowledge of Office programs. Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
