Bjursås school area is facing an exciting development phase and is now seeking an engaged and qualified Teacher for a special education group who wants to help shape the school of the future. The school area consists of three schools; Bjursåsskolan F–9, Grycksboskolan F-6, and Sågmyraskolan F-6. All schools are rural schools with close proximity to beautiful green spaces and forests, as well as excellent opportunities for outdoor and sports activities. The school area has approximately 600 students and approximately 100 staff members. In our area, we want students to feel safe and well at school with confidence in the adults around them. Staff members work together engagedly so that all students are given opportunities to develop to their best. At all our schools, we work purposefully to develop student health efforts to promote health and prevent illness. To achieve development and create a sense of community, we work with collaborative learning. Responsibilities As a teacher in a special education group at Bjursåsskolan 7–9, you have a central role in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where each student has the opportunity to develop according to their own circumstances. You design instruction considering students' individual needs and continuously follow up on their knowledge development. The work takes place in close collaboration with the school's staff, student health services, and students' guardians to ensure joint support around each student. Through clear and flexible working methods, you contribute to strengthening students' motivation, independence, and faith in the future. Qualifications For the role, you are required to: be a certified teacher with credentials to teach mathematics, Swedish, and English at the middle school level (grades 4–6) and be driven to meet and support students with different needs and see each student's strengths and possibilities Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who: has the ability to create a calm, predictable, and structured teaching environment collaborates with others and sees the value in finding solutions together builds trusting relationships and communicates well with both students, colleagues, and guardians is engaged, attentive, and adapts your working methods to give each student the best possible conditions to succeed Meritorious Qualifications A few years of experience working as a certified teacher Good knowledge of implementing adjustments for students in need of support Terms of Employment Permanent employment on a full-time basis with the possibility of part-time, starting date by agreement.
