We are now seeking you with certification in English, physical education, and music! About Us We offer school and treatment, where education is integrated with skills training and treatment. The operations are characterized by a collaborative approach between different professions. In addition to educators, we have behavioral scientists, social workers, and family counselors who, together with school staff, support students in their development. The school serves adolescents in grades 7–9 with extensive support needs. The students we work with often have social, psychosocial, or neuropsychiatric challenges and many have a long history of school absence. To help these young people develop a functioning school experience, we work with small-scale groups, high staff-to-student ratios, enhanced student support, and individually tailored approaches based on each student's circumstances and needs. We apply a systemic and salutogenic perspective where the focus is on working holistically and building on what works. Our goal is to provide an environment where every student has a chance to succeed based on their own circumstances. About the Position As a teacher at Magelungen, you become a key person in comprehensive work that combines instruction, relationship-building, and change-focused work. You teach a small group where student strengths form the basis for planning and learning. You have overall responsibility for instruction and plan, deliver, and follow up at both individual and group levels, including mentoring, caregiver contact, and collaboration with entities such as social services and healthcare. The role is challenging and involves a changing student environment with many simultaneous demands and close relational work, which requires high standards of structure, flexibility, and resilience. At the same time, it offers great opportunities to make a real difference. In your daily work, you focus on students' resources and abilities and work with them toward their own goals. You collaborate closely with school leadership, colleagues, student support services, and treatment coordinators in an interprofessional team, contribute to development work, and create instruction that combines knowledge, structure, and relationship in an environment characterized by trust, warmth, and resilience. Qualifications We seek a certified teacher with certification in Swedish, physical education, music, and/or crafts for grades 6–9 who has experience with, or a strong interest in, students with extensive support needs. You see relationships as your primary pedagogical tool, combine structure with creativity, and maintain calm even when daily challenges test you.
