We are now seeking an engaged teacher for Huddinge's Mobile Nature School. The role is a key function in providing children and students with experience-based learning in nature and strengthening their knowledge of natural science, sustainable development, and local awareness. Through teaching in forests, parks, and by water, you contribute to creating curiosity, understanding, and agency in future citizens. About the work As a teacher in the mobile nature school, you plan, implement, and develop instruction for preschools and schools throughout the municipality. You work closely with the activities and offer educational activities that link curriculum goals with experiences in nature. The role combines independent work with collaboration and involves responsibility for teaching, planning, materials, and developing the activity. You will, among other things: plan and conduct field-based lessons and educational activities collaborate with educators in preschools and schools on instruction and design develop lesson plans within natural science, sustainable development, and outdoor activities manage materials, equipment, and transportation document, follow up, and evaluate the activity identify development needs and contribute to the continued development of the activity serve as an ambassador for outdoor pedagogy in the municipality Who are you? We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher and who is driven by creating engaging learning environments outside the classroom. You have a strong interest in natural science and outdoor pedagogy and see the value of translating theory into practical experience. You are self-directed, flexible, and good at building positive relationships with both children, students, and colleagues. To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in your teaching role and enjoy varied work where no two days are the same. Desired competencies Must-haves teacher certification with qualification for primary school or other relevant pedagogical education experience with teaching in school or preschool interest in natural science and outdoor pedagogy good pedagogical skills and experience adapting instruction to different target groups B-class driver's license good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Should-haves experience with nature school, outdoor activities, or science centers experience working with sustainable development and Agenda 2030 good knowledge of Huddinge's nature and recreation areas experience with project or development work in schools We offer With us, you have the opportunity to be part of developing an activity that makes a difference for children's and students' learning.
