Teacher for Grade 1 at Bojarskolan

Strömstad Municipality is a small and close-knit organization where everyone is important and works together to deliver the best possible service. Bojarskolan is a two-parallel primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 320 students and about 40 staff members. We are located in a scenic area with proximity to forest and sea, which creates excellent opportunities to vary instruction based on the needs and strengths of student groups. Bojarskolan has undergone renovation in several phases over an extended period. In phase 2, a cafeteria and a spacious gymnasium were built. During fall 2025, phase 3 was completed, which together has enabled more flexible and varied learning environments for students and staff. With this, we now have access to a substantial school library that is highly appreciated and frequently used, a large music room, and a combined art and home economics room. In addition to these, the renovation has also created opportunities for additional shared pedagogical spaces for learning and alternative learning environments. In fall 2026, we will continue with phase 4. Phase 4 involves a substantial upgrade of Bojarskolan's outdoor environment with the goal of creating a more inviting and active outdoor space with creativity and plenty of physical activity. Then Bojarskolan is a workplace for you! 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a primary school teacher for our outstanding students in grade 1. In your role as a classroom teacher, you will: • Plan, conduct, and evaluate lessons in various subjects according to the curriculum. • Work with colleagues in work teams to develop instruction. • Maintain ongoing documentation of student development and progress. • Have regular contact with guardians to inform them about student development and schooling. • Collaborate with the student support team to assist students with special needs. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with teacher certification and eligibility to teach in primary school grades F-3. It is advantageous if you also have experience/eligibility in teaching both grades F-3 and grades 4-6, and have broad subject qualifications. You have good IT skills and are accustomed to working in various digital systems. In your professional role, you are outgoing and socially active. As a relationship-building person, you naturally build relationships in professional settings. You find solutions to problems that arise, are largely independent, and move forward effectively even when facing challenges. You work effectively in a pressured environment and are able to maintain a generally good mood and professional demeanor. It is important to you to create professional relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians alike. You can communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
