The Crisis School is a temporary educational intervention for students who, for a period, need a different learning environment to regain structure, security, and the opportunity to succeed in school. Placements are short and the goal is always for the student to return to regular schooling as soon as possible. During periods when the Crisis School has no placed students, you work in a resource pedagogy team that operates directly in schools with staff and students on preventive measures. Do you want to make a real difference for students who need a new opportunity at the right time? 2 position(s). DUTIES The Crisis School is a temporary educational intervention of a maximum of four weeks based on a rector's decision on temporary placement outside the student's own school unit in accordance with the Education Act Chapter 5, Section 13. The Crisis School will be located in its own premises at Kungsghöga Upper Secondary School but is directed at primary school students. When the Crisis School is activated, your primary task is to, together with your colleague and the students' home schools, conduct teaching for students who are temporarily placed at the Crisis School. You plan, implement, document, and evaluate teaching according to applicable curriculum documents and in close cooperation with the student's regular school. You will also collaborate with other actors around the student, such as guardians, child and adolescent psychiatry, police, and social services. In all cooperation, you need to ensure and protect the school's mission while also safeguarding the student's right to education and their conditions for this. During periods when the Crisis School has no placed students, you work in schools together with staff and students on preventive measures. The focus is to create functional strategies and reduce the need for placement in the Crisis School. This is therefore an assignment that combines: • teaching • relationship building • mentoring and collaboration • clear preventive student wellbeing work QUALIFICATIONS In the fall, the primary school in Mjölby Municipality is establishing a Crisis School with an associated resource pedagogy team. We are seeking certified teachers with broad subject competence in the school's theoretical subjects who, together with a psychologist, want to start and conduct school operations for the aforementioned target group. Teaching in accordance with the introduction chapter and curricula of the curriculum is the focus of the Crisis School's operations, but you are also expected to have a holistic perspective on the student and their entire school day. We are looking for someone who: • is a certified teacher with broad subject competence in the school's theoretical subjects • has experience meeting and working with students in difficulty • is comfortable meeting students with acting-out behaviors • can create calm, structure, and trusting relationships even in pressured situations You don't need to know everything from the start, but you need to be stable, solution-focused, and willing to work closely with students who sometimes present significant challenges.
