Responsibilities As a textile crafts teacher, you create conditions, based on current curriculum guidelines, for students to develop ideas and consider various solutions and approaches within textile crafts. The work includes planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation. You take responsibility for a good pedagogical learning environment and adapt and plan instruction to each student's level so they can progress as far as possible in their knowledge development. Qualifications You are a certified teacher with credentials to teach crafts in grades 7-9. It's an advantage if you're qualified in both textile crafts and wood and metal crafts. You also have excellent leadership skills and a natural ability to build relationships with young people. You have good knowledge of and experience working with students in need of support, students facing challenges in areas related to learning and language development, students with a language background other than Swedish, and students with non-normative behavior. You value and contribute to good cooperation through an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. Since close collaboration with guardians, student health services, teachers, and other school staff is required, strong collaboration skills and communication ability are essential. At the same time, you need to be self-directed, willing to take responsibility, and comfortable working independently to thrive in the role. You are flexible, able to take initiative, and willing to try new approaches to find solutions.
