Then you want to work with us at Östra Grevie folkhögskola! www.ostragreviefolkhogskola.com We are now recruiting a teacher for general course As a teacher in the general course at Östra Grevie folkhögskola, you will be part of a teaching team that works with an integrated thematic subject approach. This means you will plan and carry out work in all subject courses together with other teachers. The work differs from the traditional school approach, and our experience shows that it creates good learning for our participants. However, we want you to have a particular focus on English and mathematics, and a requirement is that you have experience in planning and teaching these subjects. Job Responsibilities You will work as a teacher in the general course with primary subject knowledge in English and mathematics. The work is carried out through integrated thematic subject instruction, an approach designed to create active learning that benefits participants now and in future studies at higher levels, as well as in working life. By integrating different subjects with each other, participants learn not only the individual parts of each subject but also how they can be used together and how they can apply their knowledge. This approach creates clarity in the education that also aligns with how we assess what participants achieve during the course. The work also includes participating in joint meetings and planning work, mentoring, and some administration. Qualifications · We prefer that you are trained as a folkhögskola teacher and have experience working in folkhögskola. · You have good computer skills and can work in an Office environment. For course administration, we use Teams and Schoolsoft. · You have training in and experience teaching English and mathematics. · You have the ability to teach by creating structure and conveying this structure pedagogically. · You are skilled at building relationships and trust with participants and colleagues. Terms Employment type: Fixed-term employment for the academic year 2026/2027 with vacation service, with possibility of extension.
