The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varbergs Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future. Bosgårdsskolan is one of Varbergs' largest primary schools, located in Tvååker where community meets nature. Here, approximately 580 students and 80 employees meet every day. Right now we are in a renewal phase as Bosgårdsskolan faces extensive renovation. Therefore, our operations are currently spread across facilities in both Tvååker and central Varberg. We continue to drive our pedagogical development with the same high ambition while we wait to return to our new premises. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible meeting for learning. By planning, conducting, and following up on your teaching, you give students the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals. Main responsibilities: • Teaching Science and Technology in grade 5, and serving as a resource teacher in the same grade. • Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on curriculum documents and chosen didactic strategies. • Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through professional leadership. • Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence. • Work toward a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians. • Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in daily pedagogy. QUALIFICATIONS For us, it is important that you have a genuine commitment to the teaching profession and see it as a meaningful task to make a difference for children and young people. You are a confident pedagogical leader who with warmth and clarity provides guidance and creates the structure needed for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you work unpretentiously together with others to develop the operation. You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily form. We are looking for someone who: • Has teaching certification with eligibility to teach Science and Technology for grades 4-6, or alternatively for grades 1-3. • Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation. • Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up operations within given frameworks. • Has good assessment ability to track student development and provide constructive feedback. • Possesses clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-31 Start date by agreement, end date: 2026-12-18.
