Your Tasks
The position involves teaching Art and Design as the main subject. Students range from 6-19 years old, and instruction is tailored to each student's own expectations, prerequisites, and level of ambition. Group sizes are up to approximately 15 students. Teaching includes having students try different techniques and artistic expressions. Showcasing, celebrating, and taking pride in what is created is important. Each term, opportunities are provided to display student work. We arrange both smaller and larger exhibitions in which you participate in preparations. Your role also includes parent contact, participation in staff and team meetings, and involvement in Kulturskolan's marketing efforts.

Your Workplace
Linköping Kulturskola is a voluntary educational activity that teaches approximately 3,500 students in dance, theater, music, and art & design. Instruction is directed toward children and youth in Linköping Municipality, approximately 5-20 years old. Kulturskolan has an ensemble profile, meaning all instruction leads to collaborative playing in different ways across all art forms. Teaching takes place in facilities at Concert & Congress House, but we also have extensive activities in most districts of the municipality in addition to Kulturskolan's own facilities in Linköping Concert and Congress. Kulturskolan's administration consists of a Head of Kulturskolan, a coordinator, and two administrators. Teaching is carried out by approximately 50 teachers.
About You
We are looking for someone with a pedagogical university degree in art and design, or other education that can be assessed as equivalent. You have artistic competence and a strong interest in art and design. We appreciate experience working with children and youth, as well as meeting students with different needs. Experience in teaching art and design or having worked at a kulturskola is considered an asset.
Knowledge of aesthetic learning processes and in-depth knowledge within art and design is advantageous. We also appreciate a good understanding of Kulturskolan's mission and values.
You have good command of Swedish language in speech and writing, as the work involves teaching in Swedish to children and youth of varying ages.
We are looking for someone with genuine commitment who brings enthusiasm and energy to the work. You have the ability to create participation and consensus around our activities together with students and colleagues. You work well with other people and are attentive in your interactions. The work also requires the ability to work independently in both planning and instruction. Furthermore, you adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change.
