The Culture School is seeking a temporary transverse flute teacher for instruction in transverse flute, orchestra, and introductory course (Transverse Flute Mix). You will teach children and young people at all skill levels aged 7-19 years, in both classical style and other genres. The position includes ensemble leadership within a large orchestra program.
You will be part of the wind instrument team, collaborate closely with several colleagues, and together with us, focus heavily on orchestra activities.
Teaching takes place primarily at the culture school premises (Najaden Cultural Center) in the afternoon/evening. We have newly built, well-equipped, and purpose-designed facilities.
Work on holidays may occur. A committed and friendly collegium welcomes you.
The position is a temporary role during the autumn term 2026 with possible opportunity for extension.
Your qualifications
• Music education degree from a pedagogical music college with transverse flute as your principal instrument, or other equivalent education or pedagogical competence acquired through experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience in orchestra and ensemble leadership as well as teaching.
It is advantageous if you additionally have:
• Artistic higher education degree
• Experience teaching at a culture school
• Experience and education in FMT (functional music therapy) and in that case the position could be 100%
You are a person with strong commitment who puts student development and interests first. You are self-directed, driven, and take great responsibility for your work. You have good pedagogical ability and a clear desire to help children and young people develop through cultural activities. In your role, you should be able to awaken and build upon students' interests and inspire and adapt teaching to each individual's unique circumstances.
A driver's license and access to a car are required.
