Årsunda School is located about 15 km south of Sandviken, situated beautifully by Storsjön, and proximity to nature is utilized in teaching. The school is a grades F-6 school with approximately 125 students and has been recently renovated both inside and outside. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction according to the school's governing documents. The assignment involves creating an accessible learning environment where students' curiosity and desire to learn are utilized. Within the subjects of wood and metal craft and art, you lead creative and practical work processes where students can explore materials, techniques, and design. You guide and support students through the entire creative process and are responsible for a safe and secure work environment. The position is approximately 50% full-time. You contribute by: • Stimulating students' development and learning based on their individual needs • Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues • Being a clear and trustworthy role model for students • Working actively for an inclusive and safe school environment • Collaborating in the work team to develop instruction We make each other better by: • Sharing knowledge and experience in collegial forums • Strengthening each other in daily work • Having an open and solution-focused approach • Working with the student at the center QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students acquire knowledge in different ways. You have an aptitude for creating trusting relationships and contribute to a safe and accessible learning environment. Responsiveness and collaboration skills are important qualities in collegial work, where instruction is developed together. A structured working method facilitates planning and follow-up, while flexibility allows you to handle changing needs and see opportunities in new situations. An inclusive approach permeates your work and creates good conditions for all students. For the assignment, the following are required: • Teacher certification with eligibility to teach craft/art in grades 4-6 • Good knowledge of primary school's governing documents • Good skills in Swedish, both oral and written Good IT competence and experience using digital tools are merits.
