In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Here we create a safe and supportive environment with high expectations, which gives students good opportunities to reach their goals. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and each student has access to their own computer to support their learning. Our shared values and an organization with close decision-making processes contribute to participation, clarity, and good opportunities for development.
Norrsätraskolan 7–9 is located in the western district of Norrsätra, close to forests and recreational areas. About 330 students attend the school, and approximately 45 dedicated staff members work here. On the school grounds there is also a grades 4–6 school and an adapted primary school. With us, we make each other better and work together to create a safe and developing learning environment for all students.

WORK TASKS
As a teacher of woodworking and metalworking for grades 7-9, you will be an important part of creating instruction where student development is at the center. You work both independently and together with your team to develop instruction in a sustainable and thoughtful way.
You contribute by:
• Creating instruction that is based on students' needs and circumstances
• Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
• Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's development work within digitalization, values, and language development
We make each other better by:
• Sharing experiences and knowledge in collegial forums
• Working with a solution-focused approach
• Developing instruction together in work teams
• Having shared responsibility for students' safety and learning
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you need good pedagogical insight and understand how students acquire knowledge in different ways. You adapt instruction based on individual needs and create conditions for learning. A structured work approach helps you plan and follow up on instruction in a clear and efficient manner.
Collaboration is a natural part of daily work. You work attentively with colleagues, share experiences, and contribute to an open climate where instruction develops together. In a changing school environment, it is also important to be able to take in new ideas and approaches and to see the opportunities in them. By being development-oriented, you contribute to the school's collective learning.
The assignment requires:
• Teaching certification with authorization in woodworking and metalworking
• Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Good digital competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
