Slottskolan is a grades K-6 school with 515 students located in central Eskilstuna, within walking distance to the transportation center. We are close to the city park, city library, art museum, Munktellstaden, Volvo CE arena, playgrounds, and green spaces. Slottskolan is located on historic grounds and housed in one of Eskilstuna's oldest school buildings, renovated to modern standards. The school's students are organized in age-homogeneous classes, and after-school programs are located near each other. DUTIES As a textile crafts teacher, you will teach our students in grades 2-6. To make it easier for you as a teacher, we offer instruction in half-classes. The other half of the class has wood crafts at the same time. You work in close collaboration with the wood crafts teacher regarding planning and assessment. As a teacher, you adapt your instruction based on grade level and students' varying knowledge levels and prerequisites. You are skilled at communicating and building good relationships with students and parents. The role also includes planning, implementing, and following up on instruction, and you work according to the current curriculum. The position also includes mentoring. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a teaching degree and teacher certification with authorization to teach textile crafts. Alternatively, you have ongoing studies and are expected to complete them soon. If you have experience teaching crafts for the relevant grade levels and are familiar with working according to LGR22, that is a merit. You enjoy working together with others while being independent in your own planning and teaching. You are a confident and clear leader who can adapt your leadership style to different situations and groups. You are attentive, communicative, and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
