Textile Crafts Teacher, Grades 3-9

About the Role and Your Responsibilities We are seeking a textile crafts teacher to provide instruction in grades 3-9. This is a limited-term position at 50% capacity during the fall term of 2026 with the possibility of extension. As a textile crafts teacher at Nyvångskolan, you will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction in accordance with the curriculum's objectives. You enjoy sharing your knowledge in a pedagogical manner and engage students' interest by being attentive and demonstrating understanding for each individual student. Together with your team, you are responsible for creating a safe environment for students. Digital resources are used as a natural part of your instruction. What We're Looking For To be qualified for this position, you must hold a primary school teaching degree with certification in textile crafts. Through your experience teaching textile crafts, you have solid insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in a pedagogical way in your daily work. You should have digital competence to manage information, documentation, and parts of instruction. Your instruction creates a sense of safety through clear leadership where you have the ability to create a secure environment for all students. To successfully carry out this assignment, you need to be organized, flexible, and skilled at building relationships. The school has approximately 900 students, 150 employees, four after-school care units for students in grades F-3, and an after-school club for students in grades 4-6, as well as adapted primary education for grades 4-9.
