The position includes English-language instruction in civics, history, geography, and religion. In addition, you will serve as a mentor for grade 7 alongside a colleague on your teaching team. You will become part of an engaged and competent faculty with close access to the student support team, who work closely with instruction and school operations. About Paradisskolan Paradisskolan is centrally located in Källstorp in western Trollhättan and has approximately 400 students in grades 4–9. Our student body is characterized by diversity, which enriches both teaching and the school environment. The school also hosts an English Speaking Class (ESC) where instruction in natural sciences and social studies is conducted in English. We welcome students from throughout Trollhättan and from parts of the world, which contributes to an international and vibrant school environment. You have deep and current subject knowledge and can convey it in a clear, inspiring, and engaging way. Through varied, modern, and creative instruction, you create curiosity, a desire to learn, and help students develop their abilities—both academically and personally. You have relational leadership where you build safe, respectful, and professional relationships with students. You lead instruction with clarity, warmth, and structure and meet students' varying needs and backgrounds with flexibility, patience, and engagement. You actively work to create academic focus, positive motivation, and joy in learning, and you serve as a stable and positive role model in both daily life and instruction. Further, we see that you as a person: - can build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues - have the ability to adapt instruction to students' varying circumstances - have good ICT skills and use digital tools as a natural part of instruction - have confidence with curriculum documents and can implement them in practice - participate in collegial learning and actively contribute to the school's development work - meet students with high expectations, curiosity, and respect We primarily seek a qualified and certified teacher, but we are open to all applicants with relevant competence and clear commitment to student learning and development. Employment Information The position is to be filled at the start of the term in August 2026 or by agreement. The employment is a two-year temporary position with the possibility of extension.
