The Täort Väster Principal's District consists of Sjöviks School F-9, Sjöviks School Adapted Primary School, and Klämman Preschool. Sjöviks School is located in western Trelleborg between the picturesque Albäck Forest and Flaningen, with green areas just outside the school yard. Grades F-6 have approximately 350 students and grades 7-9 have approximately 190 students. The area also has an adapted primary school with a subject-based focus, grades 1-9, with approximately 25 students. Klämman Preschool is located in the city center near the city park, library, and Viking fortress. The preschool consists of four units with approximately 75 children ages 1-5. Here you'll find a principal's district with engaged, humorous, and thoughtful staff and happy children who need a teacher who can teach grades 4-6. Job Responsibilities Are you passionate about making a difference where it's needed most and seeking a rewarding assignment where you have time to see each student and adapt instruction to their individual needs? We are now seeking a certified and qualified teacher of Swedish and Social Studies for grades 4–6 for our flexible instruction group. In this position, you will also participate in the school's after-school activities (two morning shifts per week). The flexible instruction group offers a safe, calm, and structured environment for students who need extra support, subject-specific enrichment, or recovery with reduced external stimuli during their scheduled sessions. In your role, you teach and support students by adapting instruction, study pace, and learning environment based on their specific circumstances. You create a predictable study environment, work closely with other teachers, student health services, and guardians regarding students' development. Qualifications We seek you as a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach Swedish and Social Studies for grades 4–6. To succeed in this assignment, you have good knowledge of special education adaptations and the ability to use low-arousal approaches when interacting with students. You have a good understanding of how students acquire knowledge and adapt instruction based on students' individual circumstances, needs, and prior knowledge. You communicate clearly, eloquently, and engagingly, both in individual conversations and in larger groups. You have the ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with students, guardians, and other contacts in your professional role. You work in a structured manner and take responsibility for planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work. Furthermore, you adapt your work methods and instruction based on changing needs and circumstances.
