JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Teacher of Swedish as a Second Language, your duties consist of teaching Swedish as a second language at various levels within Komvux, but especially within Swedish for Immigrants (SFI). You plan, implement and follow up on instruction and collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization. The role of Teacher of Swedish as a Second Language is a varied position with the opportunity to test new approaches, as we are a small unit that adapts its work based on the students we have. This also means that you are expected to conduct classroom-based instruction, but also distance instruction if needed. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who is a certified teacher and are qualified to teach Swedish as a Second Language at basic and/or upper secondary level (60/90 credits). We would appreciate if you also have qualifications as a special education teacher or are qualified to teach Swedish, mathematics or English. It is an advantage if you have experience working with adult students and feel comfortable working with students in need of extra accommodations and special support. It is also a merit if you have experience with combined programs within Komvux. As an educator, you have a flexible approach and you bring enthusiasm and energy to the team. You have good collaboration skills and you build good relationships with students and colleagues. You have a strong commitment to students where you are open and curious about testing new approaches to promote student learning. We also see that you value diversity and understand how background, culture and group belonging affect both yourself and others. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent position.
