Your new job We are seeking a subject teacher in Swedish and English at Brinellgymnasiet. As a subject teacher with us, you play an important role in students' knowledge development. You plan, conduct, and evaluate instruction with a focus on creating good conditions for learning and achieving goals. You are responsible for assessment and grading in accordance with applicable curriculum documents. Mentoring may be part of the position. The assignment includes developing instruction together with colleagues and creating learning environments that promote students' motivation, curiosity, and learning. As a teacher with us, you are an important part of the school's collective development work. You contribute subject-specific didactic expertise, share experiences with colleagues, and participate in efforts to strengthen the quality of instruction. About you We are looking for someone who holds a teaching certification with the qualifications to teach Swedish and English at upper secondary level. It is advantageous if you have previous teaching experience, preferably at upper secondary level, or have experience leading young people for educational purposes in other settings. Good knowledge of the school's curriculum documents and syllabi is required for the position, as is the ability to communicate well in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As a person, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate and inspire learning based on students' different needs. You take responsibility for your own work and work systematically to advance your planning and instruction. You recognize the importance of building good relationships with students to motivate learning. You also build good relationships with guardians. You are a natural leader in the classroom and have a strong ability to collaborate with others. As a person, you contribute to a positive and developing work environment together with your colleagues. About our school Brinellgymnasiet is located in Nässjö and is one of five upper secondary schools within Höglandsgymnasiet. Together we enhance expertise, raise quality, and give upper secondary students even better conditions to succeed. At Brinellgymnasiet, we have approximately 200 employees and approximately 1,100 students. We offer 14 national programs and have a national sports gymnasium focusing on bowling, national sports programs in bandy and basketball, and local sports programs in basketball, football, and ice hockey. Our guiding principles are respect, responsibility, knowledge, and well-being. We strive for structure in instruction, a working atmosphere conducive to learning, and for our students to feel safe and satisfied with us. The school has a newly renovated modern library that is an important part of our educational activities. Good to know The position is permanent with start date by agreement. To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teaching certification obtained from Skolverket (the Swedish National Agency for Education) that is no more than two months old.
