Job Description - Teacher Position We're looking for teachers who want to help continue building and developing our upper secondary school. We seek a Swedish language teacher in combination with the school subject physical education and health, or alternatively in combination with the school subjects religion, history, and social studies. Close collaboration with the industry our students are training to enter provides them with the best conditions for learning and leads to success after completing their education. As a teacher at Realgymnasiet, you create conditions for learning and guide students based on a given educational concept and the program's educational objectives. You plan, conduct, and evaluate instruction. Within Realgymnasiet, we employ mentors responsible for students' personal and academic development. This means that as a teacher, you don't have a mentoring assignment, but you work continuously with the mentor to assess goal achievement and communicate this to the student. You participate in subject team work, work team activities, and are expected to collaborate with colleagues. In close collaboration for your instruction, mentors and student health services are available at the school. Qualifications We're looking for someone qualified to teach Swedish in combination with the school subject physical education and health, or alternatively in combination with the school subjects religion, history, and social studies at the upper secondary level, and who preferably has relevant work experience. You feel confident in your role as a teacher and have the knowledge and practical skills required for the position. In your role as a teacher, you should have good knowledge of the school's mission and be well acquainted with the current curriculum and other steering documents. Based on this, you should have the ability to plan your instruction and involve students in its design. You have faith in students' willingness and ability to succeed, and you constantly try to find ways to develop your teaching so you give your students the best conditions. You work toward goals and focus on results, and you have the ability to adjust your direction when goals change. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. We see that you work well with other people and relate to them in a responsive and flexible way. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and people's different conditions, and you adapt your approach based on the recipient's circumstances. You're passionate about your subject and enjoy using digital resources that contribute to increased understanding of developments within the industries our students are interested in.
