Fredriksholm Castle School serves approximately 300 students. The school is divided into two units: Aftercare/Grades F-3 and Grades 4-9. Thanks to our graduating students' outstanding results, Fredriksholm Castle School has ranked among the five best primary schools in Sweden according to the School Board's statistics for several years. By forming a cohesive unit from preschool through grade nine, the school creates opportunities to develop teaching methods with continuity and long-term focus, ensuring that knowledge and skills are methodically built to the highest possible level for each student. We are now seeking an inspiring, world-class teacher specializing in Swedish and English who is interested in a parental leave position in grades 4-9 at our fantastic school. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in Swedish and English for grades 4-9, has high expectations for students, and wants to contribute to developing Sweden's best school. You are interested in children and young people's development and wish to learn from their diverse experiences to support all students toward their goals. You use special education methods to plan, prepare, and deliver instruction, supporting students based on their specific difficulties. You carry out and document your work to guide your students toward increased understanding of their learning process. You have strong commitment to school matters, love working with children, and easily build relationships with them and their guardians. You are accustomed to meeting demanding parents and can independently lead and facilitate meetings with guardians. You collaborate easily with others and have a positive and constructive approach to your role. You firmly believe that all students can succeed. You communicate effectively in both speech and writing, are clear yet respectful, and thereby build trust among educators, parents, and students. As a Swedish and English teacher, you will be part of the school's team for grades 4-9. It is important that you can adapt to changing circumstances and quickly adjust your perspective or approach. Part of your position will also include mentoring. In your role, we appreciate if you enjoy taking initiative and want to develop your teaching. We place great emphasis on social competencies and personal suitability. The person offered this position must provide a criminal record certificate from the police so we can employ you according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the School Act. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
