The Culture School is located in suitable and inspiring facilities at the Cultural Center in Sandviken. Here we work closely with the library, the culture department, and the literature house Trampolin. Teaching takes place both in our own facilities and at the municipality's schools. WORK TASKS You teach children and young people ages 7-19 in percussion, both individually and in groups. The position includes ensemble leadership and participation in the Culture School's band and orchestra activities. You plan, conduct, and develop teaching based on the activities' goals and work closely with colleagues, students, and your manager. You are responsible for your students and build good relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues. We are looking for someone who can work independently and take responsibility for your assignments, while also seeing the value of collaboration and actively contributing to the quality and development of the activities. The role also includes participating in projects and initiating and participating in concerts, performances, and holiday activities. You are an active part of the Culture School's collaborative work and contribute to developing students' musical expression at all levels. Student influence is a natural starting point in your work. The scope of employment is 70%, with evening and weekend work occurring. Probationary employment may be applied. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a pedagogical degree from a music academy with percussion as the main subject, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience teaching children and young people and are a skilled musician with broad competence in percussion. You have good pedagogical skills and a strong commitment to supporting children's and young people's development through cultural practice. You can inspire and deepen students' interest in music and adapt teaching based on each student's individual circumstances and needs. As a person, you are self-driven, structured, and responsible. At the same time, you have an easy way of collaborating and communicating with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good digital competence and feel confident using digital tools. Experience working in a culture school is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A category B driver's license is required and access to your own car is meritorious. An extract from the criminal record is required before employment. A teaching trial is part of the recruitment process. Employment form: Permanent employment.
