Täljegymnasiet is Södertälje municipality's largest municipal school with approximately 680 students. In addition to the nationally preparatory programs in Nature, Social Studies, Economics, and Engineering, we offer an introductory program called Individual Alternative. Approximately 70 students attend this program to complete their lower secondary school requirements so they can apply to preparatory or vocational programs at the upper secondary level. This can also involve preparing for other introductory programs such as vocational introduction. In the individual program, students study flexibly based on which lower secondary school subjects they need to complete grades in. The schedule is adapted to each student. Around the students, we have full-time mentors and student welfare staff who help and support the student toward a well-functioning school experience. Your responsibilities As a teacher in the natural science subjects of biology and chemistry, you will teach small groups of students based on the lower secondary school curriculum. We primarily see that you are qualified in chemistry and biology corresponding to grades 6-9 and science corresponding to upper secondary level. Part of the position consists of two courses in science in national programs. Who are you? We see that you are an engaged and driven teacher with a clear student focus, both in terms of approach and ability to adapt the teaching content to the learner. You have experience teaching students in lower secondary school or in introductory programs at upper secondary level. We also see that you have taught science at upper secondary level. Requirements: You hold teacher certification in the relevant natural science subjects corresponding to lower secondary level and science corresponding to upper secondary level Meritorious: You have experience teaching in these subjects previously.
