Mathematics and Science Teacher

Svalövs Montessori is seeking a mathematics and science teacher for grades 6-9. As a subject teacher, you will be part of the Upper School teaching team. At Storskolan, we have 100 students. Mathematics instruction has been scheduled by grade level as of this school year. We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with our existing Math/Science teacher who teaches grades 6-7—meaning you will be two subject teachers within this subject area. This year we have introduced block lessons, and mathematics instruction is scheduled Monday through Friday. You should have teaching certification and need experience teaching. If you are also familiar with Montessori pedagogy, that is a plus. Svalövs Montessori has existed since 1976 and is today a clear alternative with a positive belief in experience-based learning. We are an economic association, a so-called parent cooperative, with no profit extraction. In school year 26-27, we have over 270 children from preschool through secondary school. We are a school with very good conditions to give our children the start in life that all children deserve. With us, the children's interests, motivation, and joy are the starting point for their learning. Work at the school is characterized by a holistic view of life. We decline all offers of help from recruitment firms—because it is a Montessori philosophy that I should not receive help with what I can reasonably manage myself!
