Together we are MTG – Motorbranschens Tekniska Gymnasium - Optimized for success Our position Motorbranschens Tekniska Gymnasium (MTG) is a modern vehicle and transport education developed in collaboration between the motor industry in Gothenburg and the City of Gothenburg's Education Administration. MTG was founded in 2002 and has since trained world-class vehicle technicians and has since expanded its operations to also educate young people in the transport industry. Since 2014 we are very pleased to have expanded our operations to also educate young people in the transport industry. MTG is a certified Motor Industry College (MBC school), which is proof of our high quality in education. Together with close and forward-thinking industry collaboration, our education is the natural choice for everyone with an interest in the vehicle and transport industry Job responsibilities We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with young people. You are expected to take great responsibility for the various processes required to achieve student goals, maintain regular contact with colleagues and guardians about teaching, and see relationship-building approach as a matter of course in your work. It is also natural that you are passionate about your work and want to develop together with colleagues and students. You will teach mathematics and/or English and serve as a mentor for a class. You will be part of a work team with about ten other upper secondary teachers. We are mainly looking for someone interested in working full-time on a permanent basis, but we can consider other solutions. We prefer the employment to start in November or January. Please note that teachers at MTG have vacation service. Qualifications We are seeking two teachers who can teach mathematics or English with additional subjects in their qualifications at upper secondary level. Your task is to adapt the teaching so that it relates to students' future professional roles in the transport and vehicle sector. We see that you are receptive and have good ability to adapt education to the target group and individual, as well as the ability to build bonds and create good relationships with students. You have good experience managing and teaching with digital systems. It is meriting if you have qualifications in multiple subjects at upper secondary level. Beyond your qualifications, we see it as a great plus if you have: Vocational program experience: You have worked with students in practical programs before and know how to inspire their motivation to study. Adaptations: You have good knowledge in structuring the classroom and making adaptations for students who need extra support. Digital competence: You are skilled at using digital tools and learning platforms in your teaching.
