We are now seeking a certified teacher with credentials to teach mathematics, science, and technology in grades 7-9 at Lundbyskolan. Lundbyskolan is a school serving students in grades 7-9. Approximately 430 students attend the regular primary school program and about 30 students attend the adapted primary school program. The school has just completed its third year of operation and is therefore a new and modern facility with classrooms adapted to the character of each subject. Lundbyskolan shares its premises with the Department of Sports and Associations and the Cultural School. Adjacent to the school is a renovated 1950s auditorium that Lundbyskolan can book for various activities. Job Responsibilities We are seeking someone who wants to give students the opportunity to discover the joy of problem-solving and to spark interest in scientific questions. Someone who wants to help students develop confidence in their ability to apply mathematics in various contexts and build proficiency with appropriate scientific and technical concepts and methods for both everyday life and further studies. The classrooms are adapted to meet student needs, and the school has three well-equipped science labs and an associated prep room. You will be part of one of the school's working teams and also participate in developing instruction within subject areas. Qualifications We are seeking someone who: is a certified teacher with credentials to teach mathematics, science, and technology in grades 7-9 is well versed in curriculum documents and can translate them into learning that is meaningful and understandable for students As a person, you are pedagogically skilled and have good experience in designing, developing, and adapting your instruction to meet students' specific needs, and in working with students you create a trusting classroom climate where all students can be their authentic selves. You are also collaborative and interested in contributing to the professional development of the operation, and in interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues you see opportunities to develop yourself and your role as a teacher.
