The Southern Boo Principal's Area consists of Björknässkolan, Boo Gårds School, Björknäs Adapted Elementary and Secondary School, one special preschool, and three preschools. Your Assignment
In your role as a teacher in mathematics, science subjects, and technology, you will teach students in grades 7-9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in your subjects based on the curriculum. You adapt your teaching based on students' needs, interests, and circumstances. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The role includes shared mentorship for a middle school class. To create good conditions for students, you work in close collaboration with other teachers, school leadership, student support teams, and if needed, the special education team. Creating a good study environment and sense of security is a natural part of the work.
The role involves close collegial collaboration with the middle school team. You collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.
Your Experience
For this position, you must have:
teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 7-9 in mathematics and science subjects
good digital competence with experience using digital pedagogical tools
a strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is an advantage if you also have:
teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 7-9 in technology
experience working as a teacher in mathematics, science subjects, and/or technology at the middle school level
experience with mentorship
experience working with students in need of extra accommodations and special support

Björknässkolan is a stable and well-functioning K-9 school with approximately 800 students. The school has a history dating back to the late 1800s and is beautifully located in a scenic area near Björknäs center, with access to a football field, ice rink, sports hall, and athletics arena. We have good transportation connections and free parking directly adjacent to the school.
