About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Uppsala The school is centrally located in the Luthagen area. In the fall, the school will enter its fifth academic year with approximately 220 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching team with a strong community spirit. About the Role As a teacher, you will teach our students Italian. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons according to our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with an engaged and conscientious teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are an integral part of daily work. You will teach in a digital environment using digital teaching materials in combination with traditional literature. This is a permanent position at 30%, beginning with a 6-month probation period. Start date: August 3, 2026, or by agreement. Your Profile This position requires a Swedish teaching certificate and authorization to teach Italian at the upper secondary level. It is also highly meritorious if you have experience teaching at the upper secondary level. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital teaching materials and possess stable digital competence. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
