As a teacher in physical education and mathematics, you will plan, deliver, and follow up on instruction in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and governing documents for teachers. You communicate the learning objectives and make your assessment clear to students. You also assess student goal attainment and assign grades according to the curriculum. In your role as a mentor, you support students by understanding their needs, monitoring their progress, and participating in the goal of achieving an upper secondary education. As a mentor, you build relationships with students and maintain contact with guardians. In collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you contribute to creating favorable conditions for the school's students to thrive, develop, and achieve their goals. In various collegial forums, you have the opportunity to contribute to and develop your subject knowledge as well as your pedagogical and didactic abilities. Qualifications We seek a qualified teacher who holds teacher certification in physical education and mathematics at the upper secondary level. Previous experience working as a teacher is an asset. You have strong digital competence and use digital tools in your planning and teaching. You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and you create conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different audiences and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You have the ability to work together with others to accomplish tasks and reach goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you foster a respectful work environment.
