About Internationella Engelska Skolan Kista
Internazionale Engelska Skolan (IES) Kista is part of Sweden's largest and most successful network of bilingual schools and accepts students in grades F–9. IES Kista has 640 students and 79 employees. We follow the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22) where up to 50% of instruction is conducted in English. We are now seeking a certified teacher of Physical Education for grades F–7.
About the Position
As a Physical Education teacher at IES Kista, you will:
• Teach Physical Education and Health to students in grades F–7 in accordance with the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22)
• Be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject and inspire students in every aspect of physical education and health
• Be a trusted leader with a focus on safety and a calm learning environment
• Plan, conduct, and assess engaging lessons
• Adapt and differentiate your instruction to challenge and support students at different levels
• Collaborate with colleagues in the aesthetic subject area to create an inspiring learning environment
• Contribute to the school's positive and international atmosphere
• As a mentor to 16 students, support them in reaching their full potential, regardless of background
Qualifications
• Teacher certification and licensure in Physical Education for grades F–7
• Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Teaching is conducted in Swedish in the Physical Education subject and you have experience teaching beginner swimming
• Experience teaching in an international or bilingual environment is a merit
• A structured, safety-conscious, and professional approach to teaching and teamwork
