We are looking for staff members for Grebo School and After-School Program!
Grebo School is located in a beautiful natural area with a lake view, 2 miles from Linköping and 1.5 miles from Åtvidaberg. Students from preschool class through grade 6 attend here. One of our success factors at the school is the high well-being that exists among both staff and students. Our prioritized goals and focus are to work towards increased academic achievement and increased school attendance among students.
The school also has Grebo After-School Program where the activities are designed so that the after-school program complements the school both in terms of timing and content. Grebo preschool, school, and after-school program operate based on the principle that all children are given the same opportunities; we are all different but equally valuable.
Your Responsibilities
Within the scope of your assignment, you work both in the school and at the after-school program. During school hours, you work at the intermediate level, primarily in a grade 4 class, where you support students during the school day in close collaboration with the teaching teacher. You collaborate with other staff regarding adaptations for students in order to support them in reaching as far as possible based on their individual circumstances. During school hours, you also participate in recess supervision and educational meals. In the afternoons, you work at the school's after-school program where you, together with colleagues, offer students varied activities both indoors and outdoors.
About You
We are looking for someone who is trained as an after-school program teacher or has other relevant education for the position, such as teaching assistant, recreation leader, or treatment pedagogue / social pedagogue, and who has previous experience working with children.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have the ability to build good relationships with other people by being attentive, showing empathy and respect. You should be able to motivate others and give them the authority to provide advice, support, and opportunities for development. We see that you adapt easily to changing circumstances. You also have good understanding of individuals' different circumstances and how people acquire knowledge.
