In the Lillhagen principal area, we work based on our prioritized goals: knowledge, core values, and student wellbeing. We are a three-parallel school with approximately 480 students. We are now seeking an engaged teacher for the after-school program at Vikingaskolan, starting fall semester 2026, 1/10. If you would like to be part of our team, we warmly welcome your application! 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like meaningful work with engaged and supportive colleagues? Are you driven by the desire to inspire, lead, and motivate students with excellent conditions? Great, then this job might be for you. Come and help make Gävle better with us! You will be responsible for planning and instruction in the after-school program. Your work will also include implementing and evaluating activities according to established goals and guidelines. Together with your colleagues, you will help create a school where everyone feels safe and seen—as students, parents, and staff. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student wellbeing services, and parents. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Teaching certification with authorization to teach in the after-school program • Familiarity with and knowledge of the curriculum for primary school as well as preschool class and after-school program • Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing • Knowledge of and experience with digital tools It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with children who need special support. To succeed in this role, you are: • Relationship-building: You take initiative in social settings and build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You have a natural ability to create security and trust in the group • Collaboration-oriented: You work unpretentiously in your team and contribute to a positive and solution-focused work environment. You work closely with both school and after-school program to create continuity in students' days • Clear in your leadership: You demonstrate clear and secure leadership where you naturally motivate students and create an environment where they thrive and feel good.
