Description Älvegårds School AGR is a small 1-9 school where students study both by subjects and subject areas. This autumn we are starting up with two classes. We are now looking for a leisure time pedagogue who wants to help shape our new adapted primary school. The school is located between sea and forest in Torslanda, surrounded by beautiful natural areas. Älvegårds School AGR belongs to the school district Hisingen 12, which also includes Lilleby School. Lilleby School and Älvegårds School are located close to each other. In the school district, the management team consists of one principal and two assistant principals. Around our students there is a large staff group – teachers and teaching assistants. There is a student welfare team with a school nurse, psychologist, counselor, and special education teacher. When the school is fully developed in a few years, it will consist of 5 classes for students with intellectual disabilities. Job Responsibilities As a leisure time pedagogue, you are responsible for designing and adapting the leisure time activities to meet the students' specific needs. In our activities, we base our work on clarifying pedagogy and a low-affect approach. We work to develop students' communication both for learning and to enable them to have as good a life as possible. As a leisure time pedagogue with us, you have an important role. Together with teaching assistants and special education teachers, you work to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for our students in adapted primary school. You meet children with different needs and conditions and help provide them with support in their development, both during school time and leisure time. Qualifications Formal Qualifications We are looking for you who are a certified leisure time pedagogue. You are well familiar with the curriculum documents that regulate the leisure time center's mission and the adapted primary school's curriculum. It is meritorious if you have experience working in adapted primary school, and we would like to see that you have competence in TAKK and/or AKK (alternative and augmentative communication), as well as knowledge of low-affect approaches. Personal Qualifications You have a conscious and professional approach that creates safety, trust, and good relationships with both children, guardians, and colleagues. You are pedagogically knowledgeable and communicate easily. As a person, you are stable and secure, while also being flexible and comfortable finding solutions in challenging situations.
