In addition to teaching, you are responsible for planning, implementing, developing, and evaluating activities that are developed together with other teachers and educational assistants. Qualifications We are seeking a certified teacher with authorization to teach leisure time. You should be well versed in our governing documents and able to implement them in practice. It is advantageous if you have experience working in adapted elementary schools or similar activities with students who have extensive and persistent support needs. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of intellectual disabilities, autism, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). At the same time, we value a desire to learn and develop, and for the right person there is support, time, and excellent opportunities for professional development in these areas. As a person, you are confident in your profession as a leisure time teacher and can make the leisure time program's instruction and goals clear even in an environment with many adults and several professional roles. You work in a structured manner, can translate governing documents into concrete and feasible planning, and have the ability to lead other adults without being their manager. You can both maintain a common direction and adapt your approach when students' needs require it. You are present, persistent, and responsive, and you work well in collaboration with students, colleagues, and guardians. You see learning as a whole where school and leisure time together create conditions for student development, communication, participation, and independence.
