After-School Teacher at Frejaskolan

About the role You will work together with colleagues, who are also certified after-school teachers, at one of our after-school departments and be assigned to a grade level. Your work team also includes colleagues with the same specialization as you. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and documenting activities in after-school care and school. You will design the pedagogical activities so that each student's unique conditions and abilities are utilized and challenged in accordance with the after-school center's mission. For this, you have both individual planning time and collaborative planning with your colleagues. About Frejaskolan Frejaskolan is a primary school (grades F-9) and adapted primary school (grades 1-9) with an attached after-school center. The school is beautifully located in Västra Frölunda with proximity to both nature and sea. The school's location also makes it easy to reach other parts of the city conveniently by public transport. The school grounds, which span 33,000 square meters, offer many opportunities for play and activities. Frejaskolan has over 600 students and 100 employees. Qualifications Formal competencies: We are looking for someone who is trained and certified as an after-school teacher. We welcome both those with experience working in after-school care and newly graduated teachers to apply for this position. It is a merit if you are qualified to teach visual arts or music. As a newly graduated teacher, you will participate in Gothenburg's primary education administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers. The introduction provides you with a network of other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher. You can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Personal competencies: We are looking for someone who creates security for students through clear leadership and who creates motivation and engagement through participation. You are someone who takes responsibility for both individual and shared work tasks with the activities and students' best interests in focus. You set clear goals and plan activities well in advance.
