Djurgårdsskolan is an F-9 school that is part of the southern school district, and Grunnebacka (F-6) is also included. The school is located in the Djurgården residential area in western Kristinehamn, a couple of kilometers from the city center. The school is close to both the Björkvallen sports facility and Kristinehamns Arena. The school has four afterschool programs, and we are now seeking two afterschool teachers/childcare pedagogues. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an afterschool teacher, you and your colleagues work together to consciously stimulate students' development and learning. You work to provide students with meaningful leisure time and offer activities such as recess games, safer breaks, and structured activities. • work toward the afterschool program and collaborate with the classroom • plan and implement pedagogical activities according to the afterschool curriculum • create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students • collaborate with colleagues and guardians to support student development • together with other educators, take responsibility for planning, implementation, and follow-up of activities so that each student is given the best possible conditions for development and learning We also see pedagogical documentation as a natural part of our systematic quality work and operational development. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you who are primarily a qualified afterschool teacher/childcare pedagogue, but we also welcome those who are in the final stages of your education. We also see that you are well familiar with the afterschool curriculum. For you to thrive with us, you are confident in yourself and in your teacher role and can handle the challenges that occur inside and outside the classroom. You contribute to creating trusting and safe relationships and show enthusiasm and commitment in interaction with students. We see that you have an understanding of students' different circumstances, that you adapt your way of communicating messages, and that you value diversity. Collaboration with both students and colleagues is of great importance, and you listen, communicate clearly, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. In your work there is structure where you plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks, while at the same time being flexible and able to quickly adjust.
