Furulundsskolan is an F-6 school located in the heart of the village in a rural setting, where we utilize the natural surroundings in our teaching. It is a school with a positive and ambitious approach to knowledge and learning. The staff is small and built on community and having fun together. The preschool is located next to the school and also houses the after-school program facilities, where collaboration between the activities is of great importance. In this position, you will work 50% as a childcare worker at the preschool in the mornings and 50% as a teacher in the after-school program in the afternoons. The after-school teacher position is permanent, and the childcare worker position is a temporary assignment until June 2027. The position is contingent on required decisions being made. Responsibilities - Be an important part in creating a safe, meaningful, and developmentally enriching after-school activity for students between six and twelve years old. - Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in the after-school program based on the curriculum. - Collaborate with teachers, preschool teachers, and childcare workers, and contribute to students' social and academic development. - Work with colleagues across school types and maintain contact with guardians, providing information about students, as this is a very important and central part of the position. Opening and closing procedures as well as other regular tasks at a preschool are included in the position. Qualifications - Certified teacher in after-school programs. - Knowledge of ADHD and the challenges that can arise in school and after-school environments for certain students. - Strong strategies for handling challenging situations. Providing a criminal background check excerpt is required for this position. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Personal Qualities - You are confident and have the courage to think outside the box to create a functioning learning environment for students. - You have excellent collaboration skills.
