Teacher in After-School Program with Opportunity for Senior Teacher Position

Pilträdsskolan is an independent school with approximately 325 students that emphasizes knowledge, safety, and each student's unique value. The school was founded in 1994 and provides education in grades F-9 as well as after-school activities. Adjacent to the school is Pilträdets preschool for children ages 1-5. The principal organization is Stiftelsen Källan in Västerås, and the school is located in Vallby. We hope that you have teacher certification in after-school programs. You have great commitment, enthusiasm, and a desire to provide children with an active, meaningful, and developmental after-school experience. You are responsible, independent, take initiative, and have strong collaborative skills. Your duties will consist of planning, developing, carrying out, and evaluating after-school activities and working with recess activities for grades F-6. You should enjoy being outdoors year-round. You will also work with other teachers to teach and adapt instruction so that all students reach their potential according to the curriculum goals. We believe that personal development as well as continuous activity development are natural parts of Pilträdsskolan. Therefore, you as a person should be interested in developing yourself as well as the students and the program. This is a permanent position with the opportunity for a senior teacher position. Senior teachers at our school receive an additional 10,000kr per month.
