Are you passionate about after-school programs combined with teaching physical education? Then you might be the person we're looking for! Who are we? Ektorpsringen is the central school in the Ektorp district. Starting this fall, we are a two-parallel school covering grades F-6. The school is housed in relatively new facilities that opened in 2019. Values-based education is central to our school. The work during the school day and in the after-school program creates continuity in students' learning. Our goal is for every student to succeed in their education, feel secure and enjoy their work, and for us together to create a school for everyone. The school has an after-school program organized into three departments, two of which serve grades F-2 and one serves grades 3-6. The after-school program works to strengthen its compensatory mission, and starting next school year, the after-school program will participate in a language initiative in collaboration with the Swedish National Agency for Education. We work in a multi-professional manner and closely together with teachers, student services, and other staff to provide children with a safe, enjoyable, and developmental everyday experience. We are now looking for a licensed after-school teacher with sports certification who wants to help drive our program forward. The position includes physical education instruction together with the school's PE teacher for grades 1-6, as well as work in the after-school program. Your responsibilities As a licensed after-school teacher, you play a key role in students' daily experience. You plan, lead, and develop instruction in the after-school program based on curriculum guidelines and students' needs. Your responsibilities include planning and delivering instruction both during the school day and in the after-school program, and evaluating meaningful activities. You create structure and security for all students regardless of needs, abilities, and circumstances. You work closely with classroom teachers and student services regarding students' overall situations. During the school day, you support the PE teacher in physical education instruction for grades 1-6. You actively contribute to the school's development and values-based work. You also participate in parent collaboration and development conversations related to the after-school program. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is a licensed after-school teacher with sports certification. You have experience working in after-school programs and are familiar with after-school program curriculum guidelines. You have experience teaching physical education. You also have experience working with students with special educational needs. You have a clear development focus and are driven by high expectations for the program. You are experienced in working in teams. As a person, you have a good ability to adapt to new situations and new ways of working. You can independently find solutions in the program. You are confident, responsive, and organized. You have a good ability to build positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a good ability to manage yourself, and we would like to see that you have experience leading colleagues. Recognizing students' needs and adapting instruction is one of your strengths. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We look forward to your application!
