Duties
As a teacher in after-school care, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in the after-school program in accordance with the curriculum's goals. You create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful activity where students' learning, development, and well-being are at the center.
You work to offer varied instruction that takes advantage of students' interests, strengthens their social skills, and promotes creativity, responsibility, and collaboration. You contribute to creating continuity between the school day and after-school care and work closely with classroom teachers and other staff to give students a cohesive day.
You have clear and secure leadership in the student group and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
Qualifications
You are a certified teacher with authorization to teach in after-school care or are a trained leisure pedagogue. In special cases, it may also be relevant if you are a certified preschool teacher. For this position, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. You also have good knowledge of the after-school program's mission and governing documents and can implement them in practice.
To succeed in the role, you are a secure and clear leader with good pedagogical insight. You have the ability to create structure, build positive relationships, and establish an inclusive learning environment where all students feel seen and involved. Furthermore, you are creative and engaged, with the ability to create stimulating activities through play, creativity, and movement. You are flexible, solution-focused, and have an easy time collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians, while taking responsibility for developing the operation forward.
