Due to an employee's sick leave, we need to recruit a substitute teacher immediately. About the Workplace Welcome to Frändeskolan! We are a school with approximately 200 students distributed from preschool class through grade 6, located in Frändefors. We have two after-school departments with developed and trusting collaboration. Together we work toward a safe and learning-focused school. A secure climate with respect and community spirit are good foundations for the desire to learn, develop, and can provide motivation to take responsibility. We want to create an accessible learning environment both indoors and outdoors that stimulates and creates opportunities to try new things while building on the experience and knowledge we bring with us. We work together to develop our school and after-school activities. Already last school year we received government funding for "Language-Strengthening Initiatives During School Breaks," which resulted in major professional development focus on language-strengthening work. We have had good opportunities and invested in targeted efforts on fiction and non-fiction literature, found formats for interactive book reading, writing, utilized aesthetic learning processes, and combined this with thematic outings during school breaks that enriched the after-school activities. For the coming school year, we have also received funds from the National Board of Special Education for a development project to strengthen the social, physical, and pedagogical learning environment. Job Responsibilities We are looking for someone who wants to work collaboratively with us, both in our preschool class and in the after-school program. Qualifications You should be a certified teacher for grades F-3, alternatively a preschool teacher with authorization to teach in preschool class or a teacher in after-school programs. In this work, you need strong ability to develop trustful, good, and humble relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues. This means you have good collaboration skills, are flexible, solution-oriented, and can adapt your approach based on different situations. We hope you have a strong interest in pedagogical work, dare to take on challenges, and see the importance of the compensatory mission. We expect you to view each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students, knowing that each student performs according to their abilities and that it is your task as a teacher and educator to meet each student's needs. We place great importance on personal suitability. Terms Temporary position, likely for an extended period, based on our employee's sick leave; preferably starting in August as a vacation substitute.
