Substitute Teacher in English and Home Economics at Östbergsskolan Do you want to inspire children and young people through the power of sports? We are now looking for teachers in English and Home Economics for grades 7-9 for a substitute position while our current teacher pursues further education as a special education teacher. This is a substitute position with placement as soon as possible until January 20, 2027, with a good chance of extension. About the Job As an English and Home Economics teacher in this position, you will teach grades 6 and up, Home Economics for grade 6 and upper secondary, and a small portion English for upper secondary. You will play a crucial role in educating and inspiring our students. As a teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction according to the school's guidelines and with consideration for each student's individual needs and circumstances, together with other certified teachers in your subject areas and within the team. You will be part of an established subject team and mentoring team where you will encounter a positive and creative work environment with collegial learning at its focus. Your work will consist of collaboration with colleagues, working together for continuous pedagogical development and creating the best conditions for student success. Qualifications Requirements - Teaching certification with authorization to teach Home Economics and/or English - Strong skills in Swedish, both spoken and written Merits - Good knowledge of digital work and computer skills - Previous teaching experience - Experience working with later grades of primary school We're Looking for You!
