About the School
Folkasboskolan has approximately 360 students from preschool through grade 9. The school is located in Pålsboda, only about 3 miles from Örebro, and offers an inspiring and nature-rich environment for both students and staff.
The school is organized into three work teams: grades F-3, 4-6, and 7-9, each led by a development leader with dedicated time for the role. The pedagogical staff has excellent qualifications and competence. Student support is an integral part of the school's holistic approach and includes all statutory professions as well as study and career guidance counselors and school attendance coaches. School leadership, including the principal and assistant principal, has been at the school for some time and works closely with daily operations with a strong focus on student development and learning alongside the entire team. Systematic quality improvement drives the school's work, and the school is currently developing the quality of instruction throughout the school day in dialogue with the Swedish National Agency for Education.

Job Responsibilities
For the fall term 2026, we are seeking an educator who is certified to teach English and can convey a passion for the subject. We are looking for someone with strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts in different ways based on student needs. Our students indicate they need an English teacher who varies instruction, is flexible based on the group's needs and interests, and works relationally with them. You will primarily be responsible for teaching students in grades 7-9. The position includes mentoring alongside an experienced mentor colleague.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with teaching certification with qualification to teach English for grades 7-9, or an equivalent degree that qualifies you for certification.
