About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Uppsala The school is centrally located in the Luthagen area. The school is entering its fifth academic year in the fall with approximately 220 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching team with a strong sense of community. About the Role As a teacher, you will teach English to our students. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own instruction. You are expected to lead lessons according to our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with a committed and conscientious teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are a natural part of daily work. You will teach in a digital environment using digital teaching materials in combination with traditional literature. This is a permanent position at 30%, starting with a 6-month probationary period. Start date August 3, 2026, or by agreement. Your Profile The position requires Swedish teacher certification and qualification to teach English at the upper secondary level. It is also highly meritorious if you have experience teaching at the upper secondary level. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
