In summer 2026, Design Gymnasium, KLARA, Praktiska, and NTI Gymnasium in Västerås will be co-located to form Westra Aros Gymnasium. Together we will have approximately 650 students in shared facilities in the Mimerkvarteren district in central Västerås. Read more and follow our journey at: https://westraaros.se/ About the Position We are looking for a qualified electrical technology teacher for a permanent position at 50% with a start as soon as possible. You will work at Westra Aros Gymnasium, a co-location of four existing schools that opened this fall. We have moved into new, modern facilities in Mimerkvarteren, with an attractive location near Central Station in Västerås and newly built electrical labs. Students in the electrical and energy program have a total of 15 weeks of internship (APL). The allocation of internship positions is handled by our APL coordinator, but some planning and preparation around this is part of the teaching. Students also work with various industry-standard certifications. The school has two specializations in the electrical program—Electrical Technology and Computer and Communication Technology. The teaching in this advertised position will focus on electrical technology. You will be part of a teaching team and have colleagues in the same subject area. We are seeking an engaged and creative teacher with the ability to inspire students to explore and develop ideas within form, function, and sustainable design. You have strong subject knowledge and excellent pedagogical skills as well as a genuine interest in awakening curiosity and creative joy. You can adapt teaching to students' different needs and create a safe and motivating learning environment where students have the opportunity to develop both practically and theoretically.
