Your Workplace Kvinnebyskolan is located in a peaceful and leafy area in Hjulsbro in Linköping, surrounded by a fantastic outdoor environment that invites movement and learning. We are a Pre-K–Grade 6 school with approximately 370 students that continuously develops to meet each student's needs. Starting the fall semester, Adapted Elementary School will also operate from Kvinnebyskolan. What We're Looking For First and foremost, we seek candidates with teacher certification with authorization to teach grades 4-6. Secondly, we seek candidates with completed teacher education for grades 4-6. Alternatively, you are near the end of your teacher education for grades 4-6. It is a merit if you are authorized to teach Swedish, English, and mathematics. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through internship or as an employee. It is a merit if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one school year. It is also a merit if you have experience with grading or have documented student learning throughout the school year. In your role as a grade 4-6 teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you must organize and conduct your work so that students receive support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a grade 4-6 teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and allow them to be involved in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create favorable conditions for student development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society relevant to your professional role.
